The “Make AI Argue With Itself” Prompt
Mia Kiraki 🎭‘s make AI Argue With Itself Prompt saves her time from bad content ideas. And I agree with her take on having debates with AI, instead of seeking validation. This is her prompt I tested:
Straight to the point. Exactly the kind of prompt I love tossing into my digital clutch for emergencies.
What happened when I tested it
I dropped my Substack intro into the prompt. This was the idea I asked AI to evaluate:
You are two marketing strategists debating whether this content idea will work:
An introduction post to my Substack channel about who I am and what I want to add to the Substack community. I want to share my journey of learning how to prompt well. I’m doing this to stay accountable onmy own journey to be an AI literate user and also hope to share ideas with others in the meantime.
Strategist A: Argue why this will drive engagement
Strategist B: Argue why this will get ignored
Then, as a third observer: Tell me who won and what needs to change.
So yes, I basically handed AI my soft, diary-coded intro idea and said, “Drag me if needed.” And it did.
Strategist A hyped up the relatable, human angle.
Strategist B cut straight through the fluff and told me the value wasn’t clear enough.
The observer looked at both takes and agreed with Strategist B.
The split-personality feedback snapped me out of my own blind spots. That one round of feedback helped me turn the intro into something more aligned with what a new reader actually may want.

Where it could go further
The only thing I was missing is the distribution thinking. A post can be smart and still flop if no one feels the urge to share it. I wanted a version that evaluates the idea and then evaluates the potential reach.
So here’s my upgraded Make AI Debate & Improve Your Idea Prompt:
You are three marketing strategists debating whether this content idea will work.
Strategist A: Argue why this will drive engagement.
Strategist B: Argue why this will get ignored.
Distribution Strategist: Evaluate whether this idea is shareable, spreadable, and likely to attract new readers.
Then, as a final observer: Tell me who won, what needs to change, and give me 2–3 concrete edits I must make before publishing.Mia’s original “Make AI Argue With Itself” Prompt is already brilliant and now a staple piece in my prompt collection. It’s perfect for pressure-testing your ideas. Debating with AI is always more valuable than fishing for validation. I had fun working with this prompt and found the distribution element take it to the next level.

Turning AI into a debate partner is brilliant. Adding a distribution strategist layer could really help creators not only refine ideas but also predict which posts gain traction.
Great Prompt By Mia!
I have been using Mia's version since I first saw it and I love it! It has been so helpful.
The only thing I have been adding is a primer: "Be completely honest, there is no time for pleasantries or niceties, just brutal (bordering on cruel) honesty, and assume you cannot hurt my feelings as I have none."
Now I can't wait to try the added on pieces and see how that takes me to the next level. Thanks for sharing!
