I was scrolling Substack, minding my own business, when I saw Cheyenne Dominguez | M(AI)VENS post that includes her ChatGPT Wrapped.
Cute stats. Personality. A mirror held up by the machine.
Since I don’t live in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, my region doesn’t get it. No Wrapped.
So I did what any stubborn woman with standards would do, and I reverse-engineered it.
This is my unofficial ChatGPT Year Wrapped. And at the end, I’m giving you the exact prompt so you can generate yours too.
It Annoyed Me.
ChatGPT Wrapped is currently only available in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. If you’re in one of those regions and somehow missed, go find it. It’s fun. Just look for a promo banner on the home screen.

I’ve also seen people recommend tools like Kapwing’s ChatGPT Wrapped and Hexus’ GPT Wrapped. If you want a fast, external summary, those are worth checking out.
I wanted a solution that lives inside my actual ChatGPT conversations. Something that reflects how I think, not just what I typed. And yes, something that generates an image to sum it all up.
Girlboss rule: if it doesn’t translate visually, it doesn’t fully land.
I Tried to Be Clever and Built a Custom GPT. Total Fail.
My first instinct was: “I’ll just build a Custom GPT.”
I wrote elegant instructions. Clear steps. Tone rules. A whole system. I even added a visual finale. I ran the first test feeling very pleased with myself.
“Before we begin: your conversation history here is relatively light, so I’m inferring patterns carefully from how you asked (direct, celebratory, outcome-oriented) rather than what you asked over time.”
Total fail.
I was today years old when I learnt custom GPTs don’t actually read your past chat history. They only see what happens inside that one conversation. So my “Year Wrapped” had no memory, no patterns, no receipts. I had built a beautifully framed mirror that reflected absolutely nothing.
Humbling and slightly humiliating, but sharing it anyway, in case it helps someone else to do better research before jumping into execution.
Instead of forcing the tool to do something it can’t, I changed the question to:
Where does ChatGPT already have access to the truth?
Answer: a normal chat with your history on. So I reverse-engineered ChatGPT Wrapped and created a simple copy-paste prompt. Nice and easy.
Don’t worry, I’ll create a custom GPT for something else soon. It’s written in the stars.
I Rebuilt the Wrapped Experience
I built an unofficial ChatGPT Wrapped prompt that does three things:
First, it asks ChatGPT to analyse all available chat history — patterns, tone, habits, evolution over time.
Second, it turns that analysis into something playful: archetypes, eras, rabbit holes, a fortune cookie.
Then it offers to generate a visual based on the reflection. Your AI Meets Girlboss add-on.

ChatGPT mirrored my mantras back to me, my allergy to beige outputs, my habit of using AI as a finishing engine rather than a starting block.
And then it casually handed me a three-song playlist: Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift, and Taylor Swift.
Perfection. I feel seen now, thank you.
✨ Your ChatGPT Wrapped: The Unofficial ChatGPT Year in Review
Not everyone gets ChatGPT’s official year-in-review. So I designed a better one — reflective, a little opinionated and visual! You can try it yourself.
How to use it:
Open a new ChatGPT chat, then paste the prompt below.
When it offers to generate the image, say yes.
If you like what comes out, share the visual in the comments. I want to see how your thinking looks in illustration form.

Analyze all available conversation history in this account to identify patterns, habits, tone, recurring themes, and evolution over time.
If you cannot see everything, infer conservatively and explain assumptions transparently — without sounding apologetic.

For each era:
- a memorable name
- a short description
- a percentage of focus (must total 100%)
The Rabbit Hole
Highlight the most niche, obsessive, or unusually deep topic I explored.
Explain what it reveals about how I think.
How I Actually Use AI
Describe my collaboration style (iterative, strategic, reflective, execution-driven, etc.).
What I Clearly Avoid or Hate Doing
Be honest. Lightly savage is allowed.
Power Skill
Identify the single capability I strengthened most this year through using AI.
Vibe Check
Analyze my communication style (direct vs polite, structured vs chaotic, playful vs surgical).
Call out any quirks in how I prompt.
Emoji Wrapped
List the emojis I use most and what they signal.
3-Song Soundtrack
Suggest three songs that match the mood of my year, with one-line explanations.
One-Sentence Year Summary
A sharp, memorable line.
Fortune Cookie
A witty, slightly prophetic line for the year ahead.
PART 2 — VISUAL ChatGPT WRAPPED SETUP
After completing the written ChatGPT Wrapped, pause and ask me to choose one visual style:
“Want to turn this ChatGPT Wrapped into a single editorial-style illustration?
Pick the vibe:”
• Humorous – playful, clever, lightly ironic
• Inspiring – elegant, reflective, aspirational
• Analytical – clean, structured, systems-oriented
Wait for my choice.
PART 3 — IMAGE GENERATION (MANDATORY)
Once I choose a vibe, generate the actual image, not a prompt.
The image must:
- Be a single editorial or mixed-media illustration
- Feature one protagonist at a desk or creative workspace
- Show foreground clarity and background noise softly blurred
- Represent AI subtly (light, assistant presence, pencil, interface shadow)
- Reflect the themes, eras, and mindset from the written ChatGPT Wrapped
- Contain no readable text
- Avoid dashboards, charts, or sci-fi clichés
Style adjustments by vibe:
- Humorous: visual metaphors, light exaggeration, clever contrast
- Inspiring: warm light, confident posture, aspirational calm
- Analytical: clean geometry, modular elements, restrained palette
The image should feel like:
“A year of thinking distilled into taste.”
Generate the image immediately after the choice.If you want the best results:
– Run it in a normal, new chat conversation
– Keep chat history on
– Paste highlights from old conversations if you want sharper insight (optional)
We Like Wrapped Because It Feels Personal
We like Wrapped concepts — Spotify, Duolingo, ChatGPT — for the same reason:
they feel personal.
They don’t just show data. They mirror something back at us.
This prompt isn’t trying to be perfect. It doesn’t analyse every conversation you’ve ever had, and it doesn’t pretend to know you better than you know yourself. What it does do is enough. Enough pattern and recognition to trigger “oh… yeah, that’s me.”
If a tool can hold up a mirror that feels even slightly true, we lean in. We screenshot. We share. We feel seen. That’s all this is meant to do.
