TL;DR: Visual brands don't arrive on day one — they're built, post by post, with the right system. This post lays out everything inside The Branding Flock: the 12-month paid series covering the complete visual brand toolkit. Take the Brand Maturity Quiz first to find out where you're starting from and unlock 20% off annual.
Did you know baby flamingos are actually born grey?
It takes 2–3 years for them to turn pink — gradually, as they grow and adapt to their environment. The colour isn’t given. It’s earned.
Most Substack creators are grey flamingos. Not because they lack taste or ambition — but because a strong visual brand doesn’t arrive on day one. It develops through repetition, consistency, and the right system.
I spent eight months figuring that out the hard way. Prompting, testing, failing, rebuilding. Post by post, I’ve been documenting everything in the Branding with AI series — the brand character post, the visual style development, the brand voice system, the step-by-step breakdowns. Each one a piece of the same puzzle.
The flock is what we call this community. The Branding Flock is where we build and put all the pieces together. In 12 months, not 2–3 years.
Hey, I’m Pinkie. I help creators build recognizable Substack brands that drive consistent subscriber growth. I share the exact branding systems, prompts, and workflows I use to transform ideas into distinctive, repeatable output. If you’re new to AI Meets Girlboss, welcome! Honestly, this might be the best time to join. start here! 🩷🦩
What you’ll learn:
Why your visuals are either winning readers or losing them before a single word gets read
How to find out your brand maturity stage by taking the quiz and unlocking a surprise!
Everything inside The Branding Flock: the full 12-month branding with AI program, and how the Brand Maturity Quiz unlocks 20% off annual
Your Visuals Are Either Winning Readers or Losing Them. In Two Seconds.
When someone lands on your Substack, they scan — and make a call: is this person legit? Your writing never gets a fair trial if your visuals lose the case first.
I know this because I lived it. I went from 64 to 200 subscribers in two weeks after my rebrand. Not because I wrote better. Because the visual system finally matched what I was actually saying.
Carrie Loranger has been gaining 1,000 subscribers a month since her rebrand. That’s not a coincidence — it’s the subconscious mechanism at work. Consistency of visuals signals reliability. Reliability signals trust. Trust converts.
The data from my own content tells the same story:
my image notes get 1.9x more views than text-only notes.
My video covers outperform static covers on open rates.
These are psychological responses: color, composition, and visual style are signals your audience’s brain decodes automatically, before a single word gets read.
Most creators pick colors they like and call it a brand. The real work is building a system that translates who you actually are. A brand is a system your audience can recognize before they see your name.
AI makes this harder and easier at the same time. It makes visual creation accessible to anyone. But it doesn’t make it consistent, it just makes the gap between “looks good once” and “looks like me every time” more visible.
That’s the problem The Branding Flock solves.
Start Here: Take the Quiz and Find Out Your Brand Stage.
Before anything else, take the Brand Maturity Quiz.
It has 23 brand assets across four categories:
visual identity,
brand voice,
content systems,
and AI readiness.
Tick every asset you genuinely have right now, not planned, not in progress. Actually have.
Enter your name or brand and your email. See your result.
Your result tells you exactly which stage you’re at:
Baby Flamingo: Still grey, you’re figuring it out. You have taste and ambition. The Branding Flock starts exactly where you are.
Junior Flamingo: At the awkward stage of grey and pink patches. You’ve got vibes, but the system is pending. You’re closer than you think, but inconsistent. This program locks it in.
Expert Flamingo: Fully pink. Time to make it AI-proof and unbreakable.
After you submit, you get your result, your shareable card, and a link to lock in annual at $72/year, 20% off the standard $90 rate.
In the comments…
What stage did you land on: Baby, Junior, or Expert Flamingo? And what was the one asset that surprised you most, either because you have it and didn’t realise, or because you thought you had it and you don’t?
Drop it below. I want to see the full spread across the flock.
