Well, aside from adding eyes, I did use your list above in this prompt to help tighten my guidelines: to main consistency, are there any additional style rules around the following that I should create:
Hey Rose it’s great to see you here! I'm so glad you found this useful and thank you for the feedback. Can’t wait to see more of your visual branding journey! 🩷🦩
I changed my header for my first and only post on here. I was trying to play with infographics but getting some inconsistencies but there’s progress! I had been procrastinating on leveraging AI for my written content as I have a designer but your substack was the nudge I needed to leverage AI for this part of my content process.
Wow! Such a big difference compared to yesterday! I love you decided to use a character + the colors are looking good with the neutral + a strong orange color for focus. This is a great start. Mind you, It does take many iterations and time until you land on something that feels true and good to work with. So excited to see you evolve! Loving it already!!
So good to have you! And if you ever have a special request or something you get stuck with, I’m just a DM away. I’m happy to help or figure something out with you.
I don't even know where to start. I'm trying things out, illustration and realistic photos. For the moment I totally lack brand consistency on Substack. As I'm new, this is the moment to do everything. And I'm doing it, a lot thanks to you.
(Look at me becoming a kind of hysterical fan of yours)
Love that you are showing all the outputs – that it takes multiple iterations, discernment and typically its never just one prompt!! 👏👏👏 ✨
Saw a quote from someone named Eric Hu (designer at Google Labs) and he said something like “We’re still designing -- we’re just somewhere in the middle now.”
Exactly! I do get a lot of inspiration from others' thought processes and general logic. But the beauty of AI is making it your own. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it and welcome to the channel! 🩷🦩
I've read so many good things about NanoBanana. I'll have to give it a try soon. The one time I tried earlier this year to do consistent characters I used VEO 3. It worked quite well.
This is a masterclass in system-driven visual identity. The clarity around separating analysis, style rules, and generation, then using the right AI tool for each step, is exactly how scalable, consistent brand visuals are built.
Thank you Suhrab! 🩷 Exactly this! You really get it!
I had no idea it would turn into a real workflow until I broke it into stages. Before that, it was total chaos lol. Notes, half-prompts and no consistency!😥 Separating the steps is what turned it into a system. Now a “perfect” output takes one prompt, one tweak and only five minutes. Wild what structure can do. 🦩✨
Oh dear Girlboss, the fashion one is so perfectly you! Love it, love it, absolutely amazing!
And thank you so much for the shoutout and feature. The best part for me is seeing you take the process and turn it into your own unique flow. So happy for you, and excited to see all the new brand magic you roll out next.
Love this, I'm on the journey too, and you're ahead of me sorting it all out. Yay!
So next post is more on this?
So I used ChatGPT 5.1—not for generation, but for refining the style rules:
consistent proportions
controlled texture
clarity on what can stay “unfinished” (background washes)
clarity on what must stay consistent (face, posture, palette)
Hey Judy! Yayy, happy to help a Girlboss out! 🩷🦩
I'm also on the learning path, so I am more than happy to swap notes, ideas and tricks you might have figured out before me.
I AM thinking of doing a part 2, any suggestions what might be of interest to you?

I am thinking of doing a style rule framework/template for maintaining consistency. Would that be useful?🩷🦩
3:2 ratio is key
This was a great post and inspired me to create my own brand images. I love this and thank you for sharing.

Love this! You just gave me so much insight and solved one of my biggest Substack problems.
Raquel, I am SO happy to hear this! Where are you stuck?
Please please let me know if you try something, I love seeing the experiments and journeys to visual identities!🩷🦩

love this! I can't even remember how i ended up eventually getting to my 'DOW woman' look! lol
It's a story I'd be very interested in! 🩷🦩
if only i could remember it! lol

How you found this visual style showcases that :)
Thank you, that means a lot. And yes, the folder of “almosts” could tell stories. 😅
Would genuinely love to continue this conversation, you’re clearly seeing the same shifts.🩷🦩
Likewise! 🙂
This looks like a great process! I'm glad you were able to find your preferred version. It looks nice!
Great post . Yes make your own blueprint. Experiment with what fits with YOU as a person.
See I came back to read.

We haven't known each other for long but all these visuals really do look like you!
Thanks Daria, that means a lot to me personally. Big fan. 🩷🦩

Ooo, haven't tried VEO 3 before! I'll have to give it a try. 🩷🦩 Nano Banana is really good, it got me hooked.
Found you through Sam. Looking forward to reading this!
Hey there! Welcome! Sam is just the BEST! Let me know what you think once you've read it! 🩷🦩
That was so much fun 🤗 I like the fashion illustration and the comic book the most!
Thank you, Karo! And coming from you?🩷
Love the new change!! ❤️

Love seeing nano banana guides like this!
Thank you Jeff! Nano Banana has become my little creative lab lately.🩷🦩 So glad to hear you enjoy these guides too!
Ooh she is fierce!! Love the new look incoming!! What a fun experiment and I love that you found your own personal technique through this.
Ahh thank you Dallas! Your encouragement means a lot! 🩷 I had way too much fun with this one.
